Here's what some of our members have to say about us-
"There is a training group for every ability and age in Crusaders. I had been training by myself for several years before I joined the club, and I couldn't believe how much my fitness and race times improved once I became a member. I have also had the opportunity to try out so many different types of competition, from track and field, to cross country, team events, and lots more. And, of course, there's a great social scene, and plenty of opportunity to get to know other members, at various events throughout the year. I can't recommend Crusaders enough!"

"I have been a member of Crusaders for over a year now, and I can confidently say that it has transformed my life. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and truly care about each member's progress. The training plans and sessions are challenging yet achievable, and the sense of community is unparalleled.
But what sets this club apart is the emphasis on inclusivity and diversity. No matter your age, fitness level, or background, you are welcomed with open arms and encouraged to push yourself to your full potential. The club also hosts various social events throughout the year, which have allowed me to make lasting friendships with fellow runners. If you're looking for a running club that will challenge you, support you, and make you feel like part of a family, look no further. I highly recommend this club to anyone looking to improve their fitness, meet new people, and have a blast while doing it." - Brian |
"Joining Crusaders has been one of the best decisions I have made for my health and fitness. The club made running so much more than just a basic exercise routine. With their cheat-sheet of helpful tips and tricks, they made it easy for me to improve my running skills and endurance. The club's step-by-step approach to training made the process of reaching my goals seem effortless and painless. I am so grateful for their simple yet effective hacks that helped me get over the mental hurdles that often come with running.
Thanks to Crusaders, I have not only become a better runner but also found a supportive and encouraging community that motivates me to keep going. I highly recommend this running club to anyone looking for a fun and rewarding fitness journey." - Mary |
"As well as catering for the speedsters, Cru is a very friendly and welcoming club for newcomers to running and those of us who want to run for fitness rather than focusing on improving speedy times. I would highly recommend for anyone interested in putting a little discipline on your running and meeting a friendly group of like-minded people to run with a few times a week, irrespective of your speed."

"When I started in the club I weighed around 20 stone after a few years in the club I was down to under 15 stone. While changes in my diet where also part of this, being in the club really helped to motivate me to lose the weight and become a lot fitter. I had wasted a lot of money on gym memberships and classes over the years but with Crusaders I managed to stick with it and kept the weight down and fitness up. A testament to their coaching ability is that my first 5k race time when I started was 50 minutes but now I am able to run a 5k in 24 minutes.
The club has a lot to offer in terms of fitness and running but what I was surprised by, is how sociable it is and I have had some great experiences here and developed genuine life long friends." - Paul |
"I joined the club back in 2013 and it has to be one of the best decisions I have ever made. I started out with the beginners group (Lane 1 & 2) with Don Anderton before progressing into intermediate with Susan Walsh.
I competed in four Dublin marathon's as well as Connemara, Seville and Rotterdam with the help of James Cottle our marathon coach. It's full of great people and is a very sociable & accessible place. Equally from what I have observed the juvenile section is amazingly well run." - Phelim |
"I joined Crusaders in August 2019, to get faster, loose baby weight, and most importantly, to run injury-free. I started running in 2014 on and off, more consistently from 2016. I had been considering joining a running club, and thought that I should be at a higher level to keep up with the club mates.
I was completely wrong. Warm welcome and support from coaches and club members that I have received the moment I stepped in Irishtown stadium massively improved my focus and determination. The club caters for all levels, and supports you and pushes you to achieve your best. I have managed to break all my pre-baby PBs, stay injury-free, and in addition to massively improving my form, I have gotten friends for life." - Tanja |
"I joined this club in 2013 and have been a member ever since. Incredibly friendly club. Whether you are joining as an absolute beginner or are a more experienced runner, there are groups to cater for all. One of the best decisions I made when I moved to Dublin and I've never looked back. Definitely recommend giving a go, whether you are taking up running or looking to take your running to the next level."

"I've been a member of Crusaders running club for 9 years now.. From day one I found the coaches and the member to be very friendly and welcoming. The Tuesday track sessions are great, they vary each week which is nice and are really well organised by the coaches. There is many different groups and levels so there is always someone to train with no matter what level you are."

"I’ve been a member here since 2013 and I can’t recommend it enough. It offers great facilities with the track and new club house opening this year. The members and coaches are very friendly and welcoming to all levels and abilities. The club also has a great social scene with regular nights out and trips to races around Ireland and abroad. I’ve made a lot a great friends here and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in joining an athletics club."
