Docklands 5k road race

We are hopeful that the popular Docklands 5k road race will go ahead this year after a break of two years, and it is scheduled to take place on the evening of Thursday 16th June. It is a major fund-raising event for the club. As in the past, there is a reasonable amount of work that needs to be done to stage the event successfully and to this end we are once again looking for volunteers to serve on the race organising committee.

Hopefully, we can revive previous arrangements with external parties, so that it should not be too onerous, but help is always needed, in particular in dealing with such things as sponsorship and prizes, refreshments and post-race activities, runner registration, permits, shirt organising, potential conflicting events, promotion and social media.
