Indoor Track Events and Club Outing

Day: Thursday
Time: 7pm (8pm Races start)

On December 14 the club is going out to the Track event in the National Indoor Arena.
This is an opportunity to try out or take part in track events indoor and during the winter.

The races are graded to your individual abilities. At the start you give the time you think you can do and they place you in the same race as other people who can do that time.  Races are relaxed and easy going, with no pressure to perform at any standard.
This makes it a lot more suitable for beginners and people trying out events for the first time.

Each event or Race costs €10 and you are given your time after each race.
The Mile event on the night will have Sonia O’Sullivan taking part in it if you want to run with a living legend.


The events on the night are -

  • Elimination mile (sub 5 mins Mile- Prize  Male & Female)
  • 60 mts
  • 800 mtrs 
  • 200 mtrs
  • Graded Mile with -Sonia O’Sullivan

The event is open to spectators so if anyone wants to come along to support the Cru on the night they can.

After the race we will be heading to The Great Wood for some hydration and carbs loading. The Great wood is located 5 minutes from the National Indoor Arena, It directly faces KFC at the Blanchardstown center. They serve a large selection of Food (see menu Here) up to 11pm so there is no rush from the races.

This is a great way to try out some track events, get to meet new people, meet a running legend and expand your running repertoire.
So come along and join or support the Cru as we take the indoors by storm!
