Return to one time slot Training

Hi everyone, 

This update, on behalf of the club, is for all adult members currently training or wishing to train with the club at Tuesday and Saturday sessions.

In line with government guidelines, we will be allowed to return to training next week (i.e. 21 September) without having to maintain ourselves in pods of a max of 15 runners.

As a consequence, we intend to return to the pre-Covid arrangement where adults will be able to train alongside each other on the track in one session. This session will start at 18:45 after a dynamic warm up on the track, as before. So, you will need to arrive at the stadium around 18:30 to check in and warm up.

For the time being and partly for logistical reasons, as we work out the most efficient use of the track with likely increased numbers, we will continue to require members to pre-register using the Eventbrite system accessed through the website, with the same sign-up deadlines as are currently in operation.

Pre-registration will also be applied to Saturday training.

Although all groups will be training at the same time on the track during Tuesday sessions, each group will be assigned their own lane. When registering on Eventbrite you will asked to select the group you wish to train with. These will be either the Track Group, Long distance Group or you will choose the group that best fits with your current 5k time. 

We will advise of the session on the night, as we did before the pandemic.

Please note that, until further notice, neither the clubhouse nor the changing facilities and showers at the stadium will be available to us. Toilets are available, but a mask is required.
